Welcome to GreenMo
Congratulations on becoming a GreenMo rider – we’re sure you’ll enjoy using our vehicle and look forward to helping you get the most out of silent, emissions-free motoring! This page provides our riders with information and advice about how to get the most out of an electric scooter and what to do when things go wrong.
Riding an electric scooter
First advice is ALWAYS charge, charge and then charge again! After every shift you need to charge the battery so that it’s full before the next shift. It’s OK to leave the scooter plugged in overnight. Make sure that if you’re using an extension cable, it’s plugged in under the seat and the seat is locked. Never allow any electrical connection to get wet!
When riding, in order to maintain range, try to coast to traffic lights and junctions. Our electric scooters don’t engine brake like petrol scooters so you can coast for a long way. The scooters have got great brakes but the less you use the brakes and the throttle, the more range you’ll get.
What to do if you break down
If the vehicle is safely rideable, you can bring it to the office at 105 Sumner Street for a replacement during office hours. Remember that servicing and maintenance is included in your package – if you need tyres or pads just bring the scooter in and we will sort it!
If the vehicle isn’t rideable or it’s outside our office hours, you’ll need to have the vehicle recovered. Make sure you save the recovery number in your phone. The number is 08442 48 77 85 and it’s available 24 hours. You can either have the vehicle recovered to your house or flat, or brought to Sumner Street. You might be able to convince the recovery truck to bring you and the vehicle to Sumner Street, in which case we can replace it and get you back on the road (if within office hours).
What to do if you have an accident
If you’ve been in an accident, always call the Police. Then, if safe to do so, call us on 020 7859 4564 and let us know what’s happened. Our lines are open Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. If your scooter isn’t rideable you can get it recovered by calling 08442 48 77 85 (open 24/7).
Important – if you have an accident, please report all accidents to our insurer immediately on 0344 854 1157 so they can tell you what to do next and help resolve any claim.
Charging at POLAR charging points
You can find information about POLAR at their website https://polar-network.com/. Also there’s an app available. We don’t run the POLAR network so if you have a problem with the charging points or need advice on how to use them, you need to call POLAR on 0330 016 5126.
If you need an adapter for a Type 2 socket (the big round one) please let us know as we have a limited number to supply for riders.
If you have any other questions, give us a call on 020 7859 4564!
